The Insights platform created by OIT Student Success Technologies provides instructors, chairs, deans, and academic advisors with easy access to the Teaching & Learning Analytics tools provided by the Offices of the Vice Provost for Teaching & Learning and Information Technology to support UCI's comprehensive student success efforts.

Access Insights tools:

Access detailed information on student assignment scores from UCI Canvas.
SAM enables partner units to securely upload supplemental student cohort data, and makes that data available, along with student demographic and academic information, via the SAM Analytics tool.
The TLA reports and dashboards are available for instructors, chairs, deans, and academic advisors.

Access issues

If you should have access to an Insights tool but it's not working, here’s a few things to check:

  1. Many tools and reports require use of the campus VPN, so please try connecting to that.
  2. Verify that you're logged in using your own UCInetID and password.
  3. If you still can't access a tool, please contact us.
